Healing whether physical, emotional, or mental is not linear. It requires intention, patience, and the courage to show up for yourself day after day. Much like a marathon, it’s about pacing, building endurance, and allowing space for transformation. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, Deanne Horne-Davis is committed to walking alongside clients in that process, offering support, structure, and empowerment as they move toward deeper healing and personal growth.
Deanne also holds credentials as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC). Her background spans outpatient therapy, community mental health, addiction recovery, and trauma-informed care. She has worked extensively with individuals, couples, and families navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, and substance use challenges. She has a particular passion for supporting college students, corporate professionals, adolescents, young adults, and military families who benefit from culturally competent care.
Her therapeutic approach is fun-loving, transparent, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. She integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Person-Centered, and Solution-Focused Therapy, while incorporating strengths-based and culturally responsive practices. Deanne values an eclectic style of therapy that balances immediate stabilization with long-term growth, helping clients gain insight, set boundaries, and build sustainable skills for resilience.
Beyond her clinical practice, Deanne is passionate about empowering others through innovative and creative therapeutic methods. She believes in helping clients rediscover their strengths and reconnect with the parts of themselves that may feel hidden or lost, always fostering confidence, resilience, and transformation.
Deanne earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice from North Carolina Wesleyan College (now University) and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from South University.
